Q. Is Jesus' resurrection for you an event that happened in the past, or is it life that enables you to live today?
1. The Resurrection Is at the Center of Christian Faith
At the center of Christian faith are the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus bore our sin and died on the cross, yet he did not remain in death but rose again. The resurrection is not merely a moving story; it is the gospel's proclamation that God has overcome the power of sin and death.
The apostles and disciples of the early church proclaimed that they were witnesses of the risen Jesus. Even amid threats and persecution, they did not abandon that testimony. For them, the resurrection was not merely a subject accepted as knowledge, but the heart of faith to which they held beyond life and death.

2. We Have Been Raised with Christ
Jesus' resurrection differs from someone who died and then returned to a former life. By raising Jesus from among the dead, God broke the power of sin and death. Scripture says that this power was not confined to Jesus but was also given to those who believe.

God made alive together with Christ those who had been dead in transgressions and sins. Just as Jesus died bearing our sin, his resurrection too is an event of salvation for us. Those who believe in Jesus receive new life with Christ and live as God's children.

Q. Are you living not by the old life that was dead in transgressions and sins, but by the new life you have received in Christ?
3. We Live Today by Resurrection Life
Resurrection life does not remain only in a tomb of the distant past. The power of God that raised Jesus works within those who believe, helping them rise again amid trials and discouragement that feel like death. This is not a promise that hardship will disappear, but the hope that you do not carry it alone.
Romans 8:26
Even when your strength is gone and it is hard to find words to pray, the Holy Spirit helps you in your weakness. The life of Christ within you does not let sin and despair have the final word.
John 16:33
Jesus said that you may face trouble in the world, yet he also told you to take courage, because he has overcome the world. Faith is not overcoming by your strength alone, but living today by the life of the risen Lord.
