- Scripture prophesied of Jesus through numerous prophets (virgin birth, death on the cross, resurrection, etc.) and proved that Jesus is the Messiah by fulfilling them. This was the evangelistic method of the early church. The content of this journey was the process of testifying that Jesus is the Messiah in that very manner.
